Child Welfare Case Management Services

Dependency Case Management

MHRC provides child welfare services in Duval County as a subcontractor of Family Support Services of Northeast Florida (FSSNF). MHRC directly provides: in-home protective services and supervision; placement with relatives (caregivers); post-placement supervision; family reunification; family preservation; adoption and related services. Each family is assigned a Family Services Counselor who provides services to the family and works with the family throughout the family’s involvement in the state’s child protective care system.  Referrals are through the Department of Children and Families and Family Support Services of North Florida.

FAST Case Management

MHRC provides prevention services to families in Duval County to strengthen the family and prevent removal of the children from the home.  Each family is assigned a Family Services Counselor who works closely with the Department of Children and Families to address the service needs of the family.

Child Welfare Clinical Services

MHRC provides therapeutic services to children and families served in the MHRC child welfare program in Duval County.


Dependency Clinical Services

MHRC therapists work side-by-side with MHRC child welfare staff to help families involved in the Dependency system.  The clinical staff provide therapy and behavioral services to youth and family members to promote family reunification.

FAST Clinical Services

MHRC therapists work side-by-side with MHRC child welfare staff who are focused on keeping families together.  This prevention program is designed to address the emotional, substance use, behavioral, financial, and social needs of the parents/caregivers in order to prevent the removal of the children from the home.

Transitional Trauma Therapy Program

The Transitional Trauma Therapy (TTT) program provides trauma-informed therapeutic services to children who are being removed from their parents/caregivers by the Department of Children and Families (DCF).  Therapists accompany DCF to the removals and provide on-going counseling to the youth to address trauma related to the removal and trauma the youth may have experienced prior to the removal.
